Vital Communications Inc. will provide assistance to students, education assistants, professionals, businesses and many others with varying disabilities or ability/mobility limits with an advanced technology communication service.
 
This communication technology was created as a service to mainly assist deaf or hard of hearing individuals. It also provides learning disabled or mobility disabled persons with their personal growth experiences.
 
Anyone with a disability wanting to receive post-secondary education or change professions may need some sort of equipment to aid them to explore their potential education or career possibilities and/or changes.
 
Vital Communications Inc. will provide assistance to any individual or the organizations for the individuals, together with their team support system, to provide the appropriate product solution to their needs and new surroundings.
 
Vital Communications Inc.’s service and training will allow those with disabilities to expand their abilities in their vocational or education settings. This unique service assists you in achieving your goals by breaking any barriers that may limit your access and opportunity for greater independence.
 
We are committed to increasing accessibility awareness within Alberta’s communities that provides services to its customers. As a resource to you, we have identified a process that you may find helpful in your selection of an aid for assistive technology or even refer you to other disability product services that are specific to your disability or limitations.
 
Any assistive technology product needs an assessment and should allow you to be provided the answers to your questions, and facilitate your needs for the solution that is best for your specific situation.
 
Any professionals working with your needs to provide assessments for your requirements come from many assessment fields, including those licensed or certified in speech/language pathology, and other areas of expertise. Others such as our service entity, while not certified or licensed, may also provide our product evaluation information.
 
Our services help you perform a product needs assessment process to allow you to evaluate the applicable product solutions to your specific situation. As a product provider we are fully trained to provide product knowledge directly to you or to the professional engaged in your assessment.
 
 
  Individuals who use American Sign Language may require an interpreter for assistance.   Our service is to provide the same service if and when an interpreter may not be available, although it is not intended to be a replacement for an interpreter.  
 
 
Our role is to facilitate communication between the hearing community and the Deaf community to give companies providing the service/sales to you, a greater service benefit.
 
We provide a computer generated interpreting software program that will assist our translator/provider with an interpreting system service.
 
We must transmit the spirit, flavour and contents of the speaker to the individual requiring the service. Deaf and hard of hearing persons using Interpreter services have the right to control the communication that is interacted between the service provider and themselves to make their own decisions of need or service.
 
This process of transmitting spoken English from a service provider into American Sign Language and/or gestures is for communication between deaf and hearing people by way of the ICommunicator software.
 
Transliterating: Is the process of transmitting spoken English into any one of several English-oriented varieties of manual communications between deaf and hearing people.
 
Our mandate is to provide an addition to interpreters for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals who use American Sign Language when an interpreter may not be available.  When you need interpreting services for any type of appointment, call our office to let us know what your specific needs are.  We intend to make sure they are met to your satisfaction.
 
Our competent staff will assist you as needed.  We will send an information packet, which includes our rates and policies.
 
 
  If your needs are for emergency services, or if your needs for interpreting are urgent, call us.  We can get the essential information on the phone and send one of our staff immediately.  We will follow up at a later date with the necessary paperwork.  
 
When you make a request for services, you will be asked to provide the following information:
   Business Name & Address  Nature of the Appointment
    Contact Person & Phone Number  Estimated Length of the Appointment
   Appointment Date & Time  Directions as Needed for Service
   Name of Deaf Client  
 
Depending upon the length and nature of the appointment made, it is quite possible you will be advised there may be a necessity for an ASL Deaf interpreter.
 
Processing your request begins immediately.  We access your particular needs and determine the best timeframe for your needs.
 
If an additional interpreter is needed, you will be required to request additional services. Otherwise, we may assist you in facilitating this request.  This could be an advantage to you and the interpreting needs of the situation.  For example, medical/legal appointments with our service can provide written text of the appointments for future referencing.
